Ingredients

  • 1 cup Coconut oil- Reduces inflammation, keeping skin moisturized and helping heal wounds. Great for acne and it does not clog pores.
  • 1 cup Sugar- Sugar is a natural humectant, which really just means it draws moisture into your skin. Sugar is also a natural source of glycolic acid, which is the agent that encourages new skin to grow and what is often used to treat sun-damaged skin. Another benefit is the exfoliant properties of sugar. This helps sluff away dead skin and allows healthy, glowing skin to emerge.
  • 10 drops Lemon essential oil- It is astringent and detoxifying. Its antiseptic properties help in treating and clearing skin. Lemon oil also reduces excessive oil on the skin.
  • 1-3 drops Vanilla essential oil- Adds a nice scent that makes this recipe smell like a lemon pancake, yum!
  • Lemon peel shavings- As much as you like, one lemon should be enough. This adds some colour to the mix while also really heping to brighten the skin.

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients together, you may need to put the coconut oil in the microwave as it is solid at room temperture.

Scoop out with a spoon and rub gently on your skin in circular motions. Then rinse with warm water.
Use within three months.
