Ingredients
- 1 cup Coconut oil- Reduces inflammation, keeping skin moisturized and helping heal wounds. Great for acne and it does not clog pores.
- 1 cup Sugar- Sugar is a natural humectant, which really just means it draws moisture into your skin. Sugar is also a natural source of glycolic acid, which is the agent that encourages new skin to grow and what is often used to treat sun-damaged skin. Another benefit is the exfoliant properties of sugar. This helps sluff away dead skin and allows healthy, glowing skin to emerge.
- 10 drops Lemon essential oil- It is astringent and detoxifying. Its antiseptic properties help in treating and clearing skin. Lemon oil also reduces excessive oil on the skin.
- 1-3 drops Vanilla essential oil- Adds a nice scent that makes this recipe smell like a lemon pancake, yum!
- Lemon peel shavings- As much as you like, one lemon should be enough. This adds some colour to the mix while also really heping to brighten the skin.
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients together, you may need to put the coconut oil in the microwave as it is solid at room temperture.
Scoop out with a spoon and rub gently on your skin in circular motions. Then rinse with warm water.
Use within three months.
